This privacy notice explains which personal data Jafinity Wallet processes and how it is handled. Jafinity Wallet is a private, non-commercial project.
Controller
The operator of this application is responsible for processing your data. Please send any privacy-related requests to the contact address listed below.
What data we process
On registration: your name, email address and a password that is only ever stored in encrypted form. When signing in with Google: the profile data Google provides (name, email address, profile picture). While using the app: the content you enter yourself, such as wallets, transactions, groups, expenses and friend contacts.
Purpose of processing
Your data is used to provide the app's features — sign-in, storing your money overview and splitting expenses. If you use the optional AI assistant, the transfer to Google described under “AI assistant” applies in addition. Your data is never shared for advertising purposes.
Storage & third parties
Your data is stored in a database operated by an external hosting provider. Signing in with Google uses the Google OAuth service. The privacy terms of the respective provider apply in addition.
AI assistant (Google Gemini)
The AI assistant is optional. If you use it, your input is sent to Google for interpretation (Google's Gemini API). What is sent: the text you type, or your voice recording, which Google turns into text; the names of your friends, groups and wallets, so the assistant knows who you mean; your own name — or your email address if you have not set a name — along with your currencies, your time zone and the screen you have open. When you ask a question about your history, the matching entries are sent as well, including amount, date, description and the people involved. Receipt photos are read on your device and are not sent to Google; neither is your password. Nothing is sent until you have explicitly agreed in the app — without that agreement the server refuses every assistant request. You can withdraw your agreement at any time in Settings. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); processing also takes place in the United States. Under the terms of the Gemini API, Google is bound to confidentiality and to an equivalent level of protection for this data; Google's own privacy policy applies in addition.
Sign-in & cookies
A technically necessary cookie or local session token is set to keep you signed in. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict the processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability. You can delete your account and the associated data yourself at any time.
Retention & deletion
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. Once the account is deleted, the associated data is removed.

The operator accepts no liability for any direct or indirect damages, data loss, incorrect calculations or financial consequences arising from use of the app. You alone are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all data you enter.
