Delete your account
You can delete your Jafinity Wallet account yourself at any time — inside the app, or by email if you can no longer sign in. This page explains both routes and what happens to your data.
In the app or on the web
1. Request deletion
Open your profile and choose “Delete account”. We email a six-digit code to the address you sign in with. Nothing happens to your account up to this point.
2. Confirm with the code
Enter the code. That starts a 14-day grace period and signs you out.
3. After 14 days
Once the period is over your account is closed for good: sign-in credentials and personal details are removed and signing in is no longer possible.
Changed your mind? Just sign in again within those 14 days — that cancels the deletion and your account carries on unchanged.
Locked out of your account?
Email us from the address your account is registered with. We handle the request within 30 days and confirm the deletion to you. [email protected]
What is removed
- Your email address and password
- The link to your Google account, if you used one
- Your profile picture
- Every active session and sign-in across all your devices
What stays — and why
Expenses, transactions and settlements you recorded together with other people stay in those groups and friendships, with your display name attached. Otherwise the other members' balances would be wrong — they have a legitimate interest in a shared record that still adds up. Nobody can sign in as that name any more.
Timing
A 14-day grace period from the moment you confirm, then the account is closed for good. Email requests are handled within 30 days.
